Welcome to Natured Therapy

Natured Therapy offers urban Ecotherapy to support psychological health and wellbeing.

Taking therapy into nature provides profound healing benefits,

guiding us to reconnect with the natural world as a pathway to mental and emotional restoration.

Nature gently invites us to calm the anxious mind, soothe the heavy heart, and lighten the wearisome weight of stress and burnout.

Along the way, we begin to rediscover a deeper connection with ourselves and with others.

About

I'm Kaytie, a qualified Psychotherapist & Counsellor, registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). In 2026, I brought Natured Therapy to life, inspired by my passion for supporting mental health & wellbeing and my deep love of nature. During my psychotherapeutic training, I studied Ecotherapy and discovered its transformative ability to restore balance and connection.

I offer Ecotherapy for individuals, groups, and corporate clients, facilitating nature-reconnection to support psychological health & wellbeing. This approach integrates various nature-based interventions with therapeutic modalities.

Ecotherapy opens the therapeutic space to the natural world, inviting you to reconnect with nature and experience the numerous health benefits that this practice offers.

I guide this reconnection, but it is the intrinsic healing power of nature itself that lies at the heart of the therapeutic experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact kaytie.naturedtherapy@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Ecotherapy, which is often referred to as 'green therapy' or 'nature therapy', is the practice of developing a healthy, reciprocal relationship with the natural world to support healing, restore balance, and nurture growth.

Ecotherapy is often used as an umbrella term which can include forest therapy, wilderness therapy, horticultural therapy, animal-assisted therapy, adventure therapy and ecotherapy counselling/walk & talk.

Nature-based healing practices are supported by numerous scientific studies and a growing body of research, highlighting the restorative effects and healing potential of ecotherapeutic interventions.

As we begin to reconnect with nature and experience the many health benefits that emerge, we often start to develop - or reawaken - a sense of care and responsibility for the natural world. This renewed connection can inspire more environmentally conscious behaviours, encouraging people to protect ecosystems, conserve resources, and advocate for the planet's wellbeing. In this way, ecotherapy not only supports individual healing but can also help the planet to heal as well.

Individual Ecotherapy can take the form of walk & talk therapy where we engage in traditional talk therapy while immersed in nature. It can also involve a more intentional immersive nature-based experience, incorporating sensory grounding techniques and various other mindfulness exercises to support deeper reconnection with the natural world and enhance psychological health and wellbeing. Many sessions blend both approaches. Every experience is tailored to your needs and goals - you remain in control of the pace, focus, and direction of each session.

It's important to ensure that you come prepared for Ecotherapy so that you can protect yourself from sunburn, stay hydrated, and get the most out of the sessions. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you wear appropriate clothing and bring the following:

- A bottle of water

- Sunscreen

- Sun hat

- Sunglasses

- Clothing that is appropriate for the weather and will offer protection from the sun or rain

- Closed-toe & comfortable footwear

- Any additional necessities (e.g., inhaler, EpiPen)

Experiencing the benefits and beauty of reconnecting with nature involves being open to the elements and learning to adapt to the environment. Therefore, sessions will go ahead in wet weather where conditions do not pose a safety risk, so we ask that you come prepared for wet weather by wearing appropriate clothing. However, in the event of severe weather—such as torrential rain, lightning, or extreme heat—the session will be cancelled.

In this case, for Group Ecotherapy, you will be offered either a refund for that session only or the option to attend one of our quarterly Ecotherapy Sessions.

For Individual Ecotherapy sessions & Corporate Ecotherapy sessions, where severe weather is present, you will be offered the option to reschedule or given a refund if you have already paid and choose not to reschedule.

I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), and I hold the following qualifications:

- Bachelor of Counselling & Psychotherapy

- Professional Graduate Certificate in Education

- Relaxation, Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher Training Course

- First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011-Provide First Aid)
